Invitation Ideas: Butterfly Theme

Here’s the invitation I did that’s is perfect for a butterfly themed party:

I kept it pretty simple, yet chic. It looks plain and white on the outside because of the little butterfly detail on the flap, but when you open it, you’d see the really pretty combination of pink, violet and black. I love the stardust effect of the black special paper. It somehow gives an elegant vibe into the invitation. I also put the main theme or the title of the party in front.

My DIY Planner

I just can’t seem to find the perfect planner for me. There are plenty of good ones out there, but it’s either (!)their too expensive, or (2) it’s too cute that I can’t bring myself to use it for the fear of messing it up. So I decided to make a planner by myself. The good thing about DIY’s is that you can customize it according to your personal preference, making it very much useful than store-bought planners.

This is how my DIY Planner looks like. I think the pink and yellow felt foam I used for the cover is super adorable.

I used a round velcro for the lock, and lavender colored papers for the pages.

This is how it looks like when opened, I made some sort of pocket in the right for my sketch book (which was also a DIY using notepads).

This is basically the pattern for all the months’ pages.

I also made pockets for my to-do list sheets.

The other half of my planner is for my blog ideas and schedules.

At the back, I place some notepads for scratch and reminders.

All in all, I’m glad I made this planner. It’s easy to bring to school as it isn’t as bulky and heavy like some store-bought ones. Also, it’s really simple and chic!

DIY Gift Ideas: Bracelets and Earrings

As much as possible, I want my gifts to be something unique and unforgettable. I spend hours looking around the mall for the perfect gift. But most of the time, I don’t find it. So I go to another place, look around and so on. Bottom line: finding the perfect gift is long and tiring. Good thing I found something that would make my gift giving easier.

Do-it-yourself.

Yes! Perfect! Not only will my gift be special because it is made from the heart, it is also cheap and fun to do.

In my following posts, I’ll feature different DIY Gift Ideas. I actually made them for a friend’s 18th birthday!

Here is the first batch:
